The Breadwinner-Meet the family
this was a challenging sequence, the script was full of important beats and the introduction to the family needed to also be the emotional build up for the next sequence, in which the family father is kidnapped and taken away.
The Breadwinner-Parvana comes back as a boy
Parvana manages to buy food now that she’s dressed as a boy, the shots mirror previous ones in the movie, but she fills a more central space now that she can provide for the family.
The Breadwinner-Story World
The movie has a series of insert in cut out animation, I did a lot of storyboards for that style too, where the camera work and choice of shot had to be completely different, making it almost a movie apart. This is an early draft of one sequence
